Federal Hill Pizza, an award winning brick oven pizzeria and restaurant is located in the historic Castle Cinema. Opened in the 1920's as a Vaudeville theater, it transitioned to a motion picture theater in the 1930's and has undergone many changes through the history of the building.
Chef William Manzo has been self-employed for over 20 years, managing various food and beverage establishments. Growing up in a tight-knit family where emphasis was put on family cooking, his culinary passion started young. Early on, he worked as a bus boy, quickly climbing the ranks and learning various facets of the industry. After moving west, he found himself at Wolfgang Puck's Spago in Las Vegas, where he was taken under the wing of the Executive Chef, also a Rhode Island native. Following his time in Vegas Billy returned to Rhode Island and opened his own lounge, Sikar, the first and only cigar smoking lounge in the state. Chef Billy has the distinguished honor of being a Master Pizzaiolo certified by the Scuola Italiana Pizzaioli in Italy. He is also VPN (Vera Pizza Napoletana) certified. Billy is a member of the World Pizza Champions and recently came in third place in the world in the pan pizza division at the prestigious International Pizza Challenge event. A highly sought-after speaker and consultant, Chef Billy is frequently a paid speaker at the Pizza Expo and a regular guest chef on television cooking programs.
